Myofascial Release, Manual Therapy and More

Manual Therapy and Myofascial Release

Manual Therapy

Manual therapy is a hands-on, non-invasive approach used treat musculoskeletal conditions. It involves skilled hand movements to manipulate joints, soft tissues, and muscles to improve mobility, reduce pain, and promote healing. Manual therapy can also increase blood flow and oxygen to the affected area, improve posture, and prevent future injuries.

Myofascial Release

Myofascial release is a type of Manual Therapy that targets the fascia, which is a web-like structure that surrounds and connects all the tissues and organs in our body of the body. The goal is to release any tension or restrictions in the fascia, which can cause pain, discomfort, and limited mobility. Since fascia covers the entire body, a restriction in one place may cause discomfort or changes in mobility in a completely different or pain free area. Many people are unaware of the problems in these other areas and how much they are impacting their mobility, joint restriction, pain and even performance.

Benefits of Both:

There are many benefits of manual therapy and myofascial release. They can help restore and improve mobility in areas of the body, reduce discomfort and pain, reduce tension of tight muscles, improve posture, and reduce pressure on nerves.

Myofascial release and manual therapy can also improve circulation and promote healing in the body. By increasing blood flow and oxygenation to the muscles and tissues, myofascial release and manual therapy can help to reduce inflammation and promote tissue repair which can be beneficial for those with arthritis, chronic conditions or tight muscles.
